Why become a member of the center oc?
The Gay & Lesbian Community Services Center of Orange County (The Center OC) is one of the country’s oldest organizations dedicated to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. We’re the largest organization focused solely on finding lasting solutions to the unique needs of our community in Orange County.
We invite you to be part of the solution, by becoming a member of The Center OC. Your annual gift will directly support the programs and services that we provide to help ensure the well being and positive identity of the many people we serve. This is your opportunity to:
- Provide a safer space for youth to come out and develop a positive identity.
- Increase your sense of community by associating and networking with like-minded people.
- Support LGBT-affirmative, sliding-scale counseling for community members.
- Offer a clean, safe meeting space for social, support and community-organizing meetings.
- Assist seniors in finding LGBT-affirmative social services in Orange County.
- Have fun and make a difference by paying it forward!
How Does membership Work?
- The annual dues are tax deductible. Members receive a letter for tax purposes at the end of the calendar year. (Our tax ID number is 95-2934041.)
- One membership is attributed to the entire household. Your partner (or a guest) is always invited to Center Member events.
- Center Memberships are separate from other Center events, such as Gala tables or Homobowl lanes.
- Center Membership dues may include your gift amount beyond services received made for other Center events.
- Membership is non-transferable.
- Membership is annual and based on enrollment month. Your membership will be renewed automatically, unless you ask us not to.
- You may stop your membership dues at any time by calling, writing or sending an e-mail to the accounting manager, Iliana Coronado.
Levels of commitment
- Social Member ~ $1,500
- Quarterly communication about what’s new at The Center Orange County.
- Invitation to two exclusive Center Member social events.
- Recognition as a Center Member in the program at The Center’s Indigo Ball
- Recognition on The Center’s website as a Center Member, if desired.
- A lapel pin indicating that you are a major donor to The Center Orange County.
- Supporting Member ~ $3,000
- All the benefits of the Social Members plus:
- An invitation to an exclusive VIP reception at one other Center event.
- Premiere Member ~ $5,000
- All the benefits of the Supporting Members plus:
- On-stage recognition as a Premiere Member of The Center at the Indigo Ball.
- An annual letter from the Executive Director about the state of The Center OC.
- Executive Member ~ $7,500
- All the benefits of the Premiere Members, including:
- On-stage recognition as a Premiere Member of The Center at the Indigo Ball.
- An annual letter from the Executive Director about the state of The Center OC.
- Chair’s Circle Member ~ $10,000
- All the benefits of the Premiere Members plus:
- An invitation to an exclusive night of private dining with the Executive Director and the Chair of The Center OC’s Board of Directors.
