Three Cheers for Volunteers!
Throughout its 35 years, The Center Orange County has relied heavily on volunteers to accomplish all the good work that we do. Currently we are in need of volunteers in two areas. If you have some free time on your hands, why not consider volunteering at The
Center? Here are some things you can do for your community:
- Receptionists are Cool: If
the office and reception environment is your pleasure, why don’t you
consider being a cool Center receptionist? You have the chance to be an informer:
answering phone calls and greeting clients as they enter The Center OC. Receptionists
may also be responsible for putting together kits of information for the
community. There are a number of shifts available on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM where a friendly person is needed to answer the phones and provide
referrals to the community.
- Special Events (Fund Development): Our
special events volunteers are truly special people. Special Events volunteers
provide general help for bulk mail "parties" and helping us operate many
types of events. Specific event help includes greeting guests and check-in,
staffing work stations, loading in/out, light cleaning and any of the myriad
tasks required for our events scheduled throughout the year. Volunteering
in this area is great for people with a crazier schedule who cannot commit
to volunteering on a weekly basis.

We'll be happy to talk with you about current volunteer openings. Volunteers are
required to attend a 90-minute orientation and training prior to contributing their time.
